Kingdom Dalmatians

About Us

Our love for Dalmatians began, in 1993, with “Domino,” the cure for our self-diagnosed, “Empty-Nest Syndrome.” That empty feeling was no match for the sorrow we felt when Domino succumbed, at just one and one half years of age, to the lethal effects of medication prescribed for a seizure disorder. With Domino, we learned a painful lesson about careful, selective breeding.

Our hunt for a second Dalmatian led us to a reputable, dedicated breeder, Ms. Barb Allison of “Rim Rock Dalmatians.” Barb introduced us to “Sherman,” a three year old champion who filled the void left by Domino. Shortly after Sherman joined our family, we boldly made the decision to search for a companion for Sherman and a show quality puppy for me, as we entered the competitive world of conformation. “Kacy,” a liver Dalmatian, became our first show dog. After Kacy took “Best of Winners” at our first show, we were hooked!

Our next Dal, “Zoe,” became our first conformation champion—and mother. Zoe, another liver Dal, came to us at thirteen months of age, from Valentine Kennels. Zoe produced two litters—each yielding seven lovely puppies. Two puppies from the most recent litter have earned championship titles; one has achieved an obedience title!

LaDonna & Puppies

Ten years after we first fell in love with Dalmatians, “Gia” joined our home and produced twelve beautiful puppies, the “Twelve Days of Christmas” litter. One of Gia’s boys, “Kingdom’s Twist of Fate” or “Gage,” shares his home with his mom, Gia, and Zoe. All three are accomplished show dogs.

In addition to their showmanship, all three visit friends at a local personal care home; Gia is a therapy dog, certified by Therapy Dogs International, Inc. Once Gage reaches the requisite one year age mark, he will pursue testing for the official therapy dog title.

While we are extremely proud of the show dogs we have produced, our primary goal is to breed healthy, well-socialized puppies.
